The Volvo XC60 R Design coming from the family of Volvo has a sporty look. They come fitted with T6 turbocharged straight six engine giving an output of 325 horsepower at 5400 rpm. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.2 seconds. It comes with a six speed automatic and is fitted with the Advanced Quick Shifts which will reduce shift times by half.

The 2014 Volvo XC60 R Design comes with a Black grille which is frameless and has black stripes with high gloss. It also has the regular silk metal in diagonal shape and refined R Designed emblem. The interiors are stylish and the new sports seats are wrapped in nubuck textile and perforated leather. The R logo is embroidered on the seat. There is a unique diffuser in the backside with aero fins.

The interior is fitted with an Adaptive Digital Display which has three layouts with multiple functionality and configuration – Elegance, Eco and Performance. The chassis is more stiffer than the earlier models and revised shock absorber springs along with anti roll bars deliver a well balanced ride even under the most rugged conditions. The Corner Traction Control and Dynamic Stability and Traction Control will help you glide the corners effectively.

The chassis is lowered by 0.6 inch which helps in improving the cornering performance. The Volvo XC60 R Design rides on 20 inch wheels and makes you feel comfortable at top speeds and even in tough conditions.

This is ideally recommended for individuals who have great performance in mind coupled with great design and interiors. It is likely to increase the competition in the market which is led by other car manufacturers. The Volvo has a rich heritage of sports vehicles which date back to the 1950s. But during the later years, it did not go down well when other cars came with stunning features. But things came back to normal for Volvo in the 1990s and has never looked back since then. If you are looking for the perfect car to go on a long drive for a vacation, you must definitely check out the new Volvo R Design.

The high frame of the car will make it comfortable for the driver in both city traffic as well as the highways. It offers the stability required to cruise in top speeds. You will feel confident while cornering with its big alloy wheels. This will give the other car makers some stiff competition in the market.
